Spring 2023 AP Tests at Beacon
Beacon students in all Advanced Placement (AP) classes signed a contract committing to completing the course and sitting for the exam, and that contract notes the dates of every AP exam.
Here is the schedule of AP exams at Beacon for the 2023-23 academic year:
May 8, 2023 (8:00 AM) — AP Calculus BC exam
May 10, 2023 (8:00 AM) — AP Spanish Language & Culture exam
May 11, 2023 (8:00 AM) — AP French Language & Culture exam
May 17, 2023 (12:00 PM) — AP Environmental Science exam
May 18, 2023 (8:00 AM) — AP Physics exam
May 18, 2023 (12:00 PM) — AP Biology exam
May 19, 2023 (8:00 AM) — AP Calculus AB exam
These tests will be taken in-school at Beacon.
By April 1, 2023, students will need to pay the $97 fee to register for each AP exam they plan to take. If a student receives free/reduced lunch, the exam fee is waived. AP fees can either be paid on the school’s e-payment website or directly to students’ AP teachers (cash or check).
When AP students registered for their AP course on the College Board website, their exams were ordered. ALL students should have registered before November 15, 2022, per the directions from their AP teachers. Any students who registered after this date were either notified by Ms. Shams and/or by their AP teacher about a late fee. AP teachers also have a list of students who registered for their course after November 15, 2022.
Note: Students are selected for AP courses following the AP Selection Process, which was held in May 2022. Students selected for an AP Course must sign a contract committing to completing the entire course and to sitting for the AP Exam. 5/5/23 AP Spanish Literature and Culture assessment essay (during SGI)
Week of 5/8/23: AP French Language & Culture speaking assessment (date/time TBA)
5/26/23 AP Calculus placement diagnostic (during SGI; location TBA)
