June 2023 PBA Week
From Principal Brady (5/29/23):
9th Graders do not have Grad-Level PBAs but there are Spanish and French speaking assessments for some students by appointment on June 14 and 15. If your student needs additional time to complete make-up work, their language teacher will let them know ASAP and share the speaking assessment schedule shortly. 9th graders who are not taking a language or do not have a speaking assessment appointment and who have returned library books and cleared out their locker do not need to return to school after June 13th.
10th Graders have the Chemistry Grad-Level PBA and if they are taking Algebra 2, they have the Algebra 2 Grad-Level PBA. They also may have Arts and World Languages assessments.
11th Graders typically have two or three Grad-Level PBAs including English and History. Some take the ELA Regents. They also may have Arts and World Languages assessments.
12th Graders: A few seniors have Grad-Level PBAs and ELA Regents. They also may have Arts and World Languages assessments.
Additional notes:
PBA presentations and assessments for Spanish, French and arts are by appointment, so students only need to be at school for their appointments.
Students will know their Algebra 2, Chemistry, US History and English Grad-Level PBA presentation time and day soon. Arts and Languages teachers will inform students when the student needs to be at school.
Students who do not have Grad-Level PBAs, Spanish or French speaking assessments or Arts presentations and who have returned any library books and cleared out their locker do not need to report to school after June 13th.
Any locker that is not cleared out by June 27th will have the lock clipped and locker contents disposed. Returning students will have new locker assignments next year.
There was a series of half-days approved at the April PTA general meeting, but that has changed to only one half-day on June 13.
Students should be connecting with their teachers to confirm any PBAs and when they need to come in as we approach the end of the school year.
