We’re so excited your rising 9th grader is joining Beacon—and your family!
Some tips on how to “onboard” with our wonderful school community:
• Sign up for Beacon PTA email communications HERE to stay informed about what’s going on, including our weekly newsletter (see a sample here) to find out about Beacon news, upcoming events, neighborhood gatherings, volunteer opportunities and so much more.
• Connect with our PTA on Facebook and on Instagram.
• Sign up for Beacon school email communications HERE and bookmark the school website.
• Read the 2022/23 Beacon Family Handbook HERE (the 2023/24 handbook is TBD).
• Our 2023/24 calendar features PTA and school activities.

• The DOE’s 2023-24 calendar is HERE.
• Beacon’s Summer Bridge orientation for new 9th grade students takes place in late August 2023, along with some athletic team tryouts and practices (click HERE).
• Note that the first day of the new school year is Thursday, September 7, 2023. The first two days of school are regular school days, and Beacon will continue with its current bell schedule (classes start at 8am sharp, meaning students should already be in the classroom and have arrived at school with sufficient time to get to class!)
