2023 Black History Month – resources for families
In addition to a new term, this week we are kicking off Black History Month. Two ways Beacon is celebrating in February:
• The BSU (Black Student Union) and ASA (African Student Association) presentation of the 2023 Black Excellence Show on February 16 @ 4:15pm — click here for more information and to volunteer and click here for tickets.
• Respect for All Week – February 13-17 (click here for more information about this DOE event).
Stay tuned for more information about how we will celebrate Respect for All Week at Beacon.
• All are welcome to attend a meeting of the PTA’s DEI Committee to discuss diversity, equity and inclusion at Beacon. Our February DEI Committee meeting is Feb. 1 at 6pm on Zoom and our DEI Multimedia Club discussion is on Feb. 8 at 6pm on Zoom.
