As part of our ongoing DEI discussion series, Beacon parent Karen Kithan Yau invites members of the Beacon community to discuss the history (and present) of immigrants in the U.S., with a special focus on Asian Americans. Karen is an Adjunct Professor at the CUNY Law School teaching Asian Americans and the Law. Additionally, in the last year, as a board director of the Asian American Bar Association of NY, she has spoken to hundreds of individuals at dozens of schools, organizations and institutions about the history of Asian Americans in the U.S. Now, she’s bringing this conversation to her son’s school.
